Here’s the Scoop.
We are currently serving the Kingdom of God as full-time missionaries with the EveryHeart Movement, a branch of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)! This exciting news is a new chapter in a story God has been writing for awhile…
The Beginning.
We were both raised in outstanding Christian families and accepted Jesus at an early age. Later in our teenage years, we individually encountered the presence of God in a way that marked our lives significantly. From a place of personally hearing God speak to how deeply we are loved, our hearts started to burn for others to know His love. In 2021, after shortly finding His love ourselves, we began hosting weekly worship nights with our friends under the name “Sozo”. God is Moving!
God consistently displays His love and power during our Sozo gatherings through saving, healing, and delivering. We’ve seen friends baptized, cancer healed, and bound minds set free. We’ve seen high school students activated to go deep with God alone, start Bible studies with their friends, and preach the gospel on the streets of Grand Rapids! God is alive and active!
Creative Expression Released.
Sozo has released 4 albums capturing live worship moments to remember what the Lord has done, and to equip people to go deeper in understanding the love and worth of God. We have heard testimonies from across the nation of people encountering God through songs He releases during our worship nights!
A Kingdom Connection.
Early in this wild season of stepping into God’s story, we were introduced us to the EveryHeart community via their college campus initiative, Met By Love. We immediately experienced a deep heart connection with this missional team, and eagerly received discipleship through their ministry nights.
God Confirmation.
As we developed deeper relationships within this family, Ben began to serve within the movement on keys, leading worship sets, mixing sound, and even traveling to Norway on the movement’s first international pre-tour. In November 2023, God began to keep Ben awake every night for a week straight to pray. During one of these nights, He spoke about joining EveryHeart full time. To receive confirmation, Ben asked God to tell Claire separately. Two months later Claire brought up this very subject!
Our Training.
We are currently in full-steam-ahead in obedience. We joined the first EveryHeart Discipleship Training School, where we were equipped for the beginnings of living a missional lifestyle. Our first three months of this school were spent learning more about God and his Kingdom! Following the ‘lecture phase’ we went on a 10 week evangelistic tour with EveryHeart where we saw 1,500 come to know the Lord!
